The general steps involved to establish a website & web presence involve:

• Determining what the goals of the website are.  General Business or Service Information, Contact Information, Hours of Operation, Directions, Pricing, Online Sales, Specials, HR, Distribution & Inventory Control, General Sales, etc…
• Registering a Domain name (your ‘DOT-COM’ name) once you find a name that you want that isn’t taken, is easy to remember and sounds great to you and your customers.
• Contracting and setting up a Host Server that will physically ‘serve’ the web pages.  This is where the website actually ‘lives’ on the Internet and ‘houses’ the different HTML files to send to people who are browsing your site.
• Defining & Designing what the website will include, it’s hierarchy (organization) and determining it’s textual and graphical content.
• Actually creating the Website itself.  This may involve HTML, ASP, or JAVA programming and entering the text users will see and read along with, depending on the site and complexity, graphic art design, photography & image processing.
• Once the site is complete and reviewed, it’s loaded (FTP’d) to the Host Server and you’re online!
• Additional work that we include in our development packages involve submitting your site to various search engines, setting up e-mail accounts, e-mail forwarders, FTP accounts, a statistics package (to track hit traffic, referring links & other information to better manage your site) and monitoring alerts (to ensure your site is always up and running 365x24x7).  We try to include as many of these services as part of the whole package and highlight any significant work (if there is any) that may fall outside of the package price or so you don't need to worry about paying more than you expect or should.
